Objective Of The DAAD Short-term Research Grant

The objective of the DAAD Short-term Research Grant is to foster the creation of more research projects for doctoral programs. The scholarship is created and sponsored by the German Federal Foreign Office.

Eligible Candidates

This scholarship is only eligible for candidates who:

1. Currently Studying For A Doctorate Degree

If you have completed your Master’s Degree and are already on the journey of studying for a Doctorate Degree, you are eligible to receive the DAAD Short-term Research Grant scholarship.

2. Completed Your Master’s Degree

4. No resident of Germany for more than 15 months is allowed to apply for the DAAD Short-term Research Grant.

Language Demand

1. Good German Language Skills are demanded for candidates who study arts or social science courses. This is usually the major requirement for research projects or study programs in Germany. However, if the research project or study is carried out in English, some exceptions can be made.
